Face Zombies Cowboy-Style In Kalamba’s New Release- Megaways Duel Of The Dead
On March 22, Kalamba Games, an international gaming studio that provides data slots and casino content based in Krakow, Poland and Floriana, Malta, released Megaways Duel Of The Dead, a slot that combines zombie and cowboy themes, with a sheriff who is locked in an epic battle with the zombies and their leader Deadeye Bob.
It is the latest slot to feature the popular Megaways game mechanic and comes after the smash hit 9 Blazing Cashpots Megaways.
Outstanding visual:
True to its title, the main theme of the game is zombies and cowboys, fighting to exterminate each other. The game takes place in a haunted, abandoned western town, where players can see empty buildings and a church on fire.
As mentioned above, the slot is boosted by the Megaways game mechanic, which ensures that the reels are constantly changing in size, further providing players with a maximum of 84035 winning ways, instead of the regular 117649 winning ways in Megawys slots.
To win, players must form a combination of at least 3 matching symbols on adjacent reels, beginning from the first reel on the left, on the new, dynamic 6 reels, which have a black frame, and changing 2-7 rows.
The basic low-value symbols, which have a dark grey background, are the royal 10, J, Q, K and A, while the high-value bonus symbols are three women and two men. One of them is the aforementioned sheriff, who only shows on reel 1, and a combination of six of them is worth 10x a player’s bet.
A combination of six-of-a-kind low-value symbols is worth 0,8 to 1x a player’s bet, increasing to 2x to 3x for six-of-a-kind high-value symbols.
The game’s volatility is in the high range, with an RTP of 96.22% and a maximum win of 20000x a player’s bet.
The game can be played on any device.
Slot features:
Wild Symbol – Wild, aka a zombie hand doing a thumbs up or some other sign, replaces every symbol except the Scatter. It can only shows on reels 2,3,4 and 5 in the Zombies Go Wild and Duel features.
Zombies Go Wild – this feature is activated whenever the Sheriff Symbol appears on the first reel, which represents the only reel she can land on. Each symbol on reels 2 to 5, except the Scatter, turns into zombies for a while, and the sheriff immediately begins shooting at them.
If a zombie is shot, it receives a 1x multiplier, and each time a zombie is hit after that, its multiplier grows by 1.
When the sheriff stops shooting, all the multiplier zombies transform into Wilds with their individual multipliers, while the other zombies revert to the symbol they were before.
This feature can be activated in the base game and free spins.
Duel – as Deadeye Bob can suddenly escape from its cage on the sixth reel throughout the Zombies Go Wild feature, it can activate the Duel feature. Every time the sheriff shoots it, random zombies are given up to 3 multipliers.
The feature continues until the tables are turned and Deadeye Bob shoots the sheriff.
This feature can be activated both inside and outside of free spins.
Free Spins – a combination of 3 Scatters, which is displayed when the sheriff starts saying “bonus”, activates the free spins. Every Scatter that appears throughout the feature activates an additional spin.
However, if the Zombies Go Wild feature is activated, a guaranteed bullets counter appears informing the player of the total number of bullets the sheriff will fire. In the event that more Wilds than a number are added, the counter will be upgraded with the latest number and saved for the remainder of the feature, or until more Wilds are added, when it is upgraded again.
The feature is over when the player has used up all spins.
Bonus Buy – player can purchase 5 free spins for 77x a player’s bet. However, there is an option to pay 98x of the bet for 5 free spins if the player really wants to challenge themselves, which will certainly activate the Zombies Go Wild and possibly the Duel feature.
But, if the player wants the Duel feature to be activated for sure, the player must pay the 183x a player’s bet.
Commenting on the launch, Alex Cohen, COO and Co-Founder at Kalamba Games, said: “Megaways Duel Of The Dead is filled with suspense not only because of its aesthetics but also thanks to the multiple features that can trigger in tandem with each other and their ability to deliver huge wins for players.
“The title is a true passion project, bringing together cell-shaded visuals via our talented team of designers, both diegetic and non-diegetic sounds from the music, zombies and rattling prison cells that work together to provide unmatched immersion. The title’s overall presentation, feature-rich gameplay and innovative mechanics are sure to be a hit among players.”
